Winsonic Holdings Network to
offer (3) Voice Termination Services
The U.S. voice market, which is valued
at over $65 billion per year, is on the
verge of fundamental change and the growth
of residential broadband access, coupled
with the increasing adoption of VoIP technology,
is allowing Winsonic Digital Cable Systems
Network to pursue voice market.
(3)Voice Termination is a service that
provides wholesale termination of voice
calls into Country Code 1 (United States,
Canada, and U.S. territories) over Level
3s IP-based Softswitch network.
(3)Voice Termination achieves comparable
quality to the Public Switched Telephone
Network (PSTN) and requires no additional
equipment, expenses, or behavior changes
on the part of end users.
(3)Voice Termination is not a Voice over
the Internet service. Rather, it is an
enhanced voice service delivered over
Level 3s IP-based broadband network.
(3)Voice Termination takes the call traffic
that you hand off to Level 3 via TDM,
converts it to IP packets, and delivers
the traffic over Level 3s IP-based network
to any domestic location.
Initially, the traffic goes through Level
3s Softswitch. From the Softswitch, the
traffic is converted to an IP format and
carried across the Level 3 Network to
a Level 3 Gateway nearest the final destination
of the call. The traffic is then converted
from the IP format to a format accepted
by the terminating local service provider
via Softswitch, and then it is delivered
to the desired destination. (3)VoIPSM
Enhanced Local service and HomeToneSM,
will enable Winsonic to offer IP-based
local and long-distance voice service
its customers.
